Hey, so something happened at a school in Lanarkshire. Police went to St Andrew’s and St Bride’s High School around 1:45 pm on February 13th.

Apparently, some teens from another school showed up with weapons looking for a student there. The police searched the area but didn’t find any actual crime happening.

Some parents said the school locked kids inside because they were scared. But, the council said that didn’t happen, adding there were no fights in the school.

The council knows about rumors on social media and they are working with the police to look into things. The school claims it’s still safe and positive.

A parent said there’s been more violence at the school, and someone filmed a fight in the hallway. In the video, a girl attacks another girl, other kids were filming and laughing, and a teacher tried to stop it. The council wouldn’t talk about the video.

The parent also said fights happen often and they want a police officer at the school. They feel the school isn’t stopping bullying, and they fear someone will get stabbed.

Police said they got a weapons report at 1:45 pm. They searched the area, but found nothing illegal.

Teen violence in East Kilbride is a growing problem, and a bad gang attack led to an online support group. A girl was attacked and threatened.

A politician asked about the government’s plan to help places like East Kilbride. Police data showed youth violence is up by 25% and the government said they are working to stop youth crime. They also sent more police to East Kilbride.
