Fifteen vehicles were forcibly removed from a street in Flint, Wales, due to safety concerns and criminal activity.

North Wales Police responded following reports of abandoned vehicles blocking traffic and enabling crime. Officers subsequently found drug users inside the parked cars on Castle Park industrial estate, an area near Flint Castle and woods.
Residents had described the crowded road as a “disgrace.” On February 22nd, police cleared the vehicles with the help of a vehicle recovery specialist. While the police initially attempted prevention, they ultimately seized the cars.
The police stated that insecure vehicles posed a danger to drivers, risked arson, and facilitated drug use by youths, justifying their use of certain powers. You can report dangerous parking to the police by calling 101, the non-emergency number.
Report untaxed cars to the DVLA. For abandoned cars in Flintshire, contact the Street Scene team at 01352 701234. Officers are required to locate owners of abandoned cars and may tow vehicles after a notice period.
If cars are deemed unsafe, they can be removed sooner. Street Scene can place a notice on cars beforehand. The DVLA can also seize cars lacking tax; simply report the issue to them.
