A police officer was fired for gross misconduct after misusing police computer systems for personal reasons.

The police investigated his actions, with the Professional Standards Department handling the case. He worked as a response officer in northern Staffordshire. They fired him right away following the investigation.
Chief Constable Chris Noble led the hearing on Thursday, February 6. Dzierzkowski broke confidentiality rules, and his behavior damaged the police’s reputation. This conduct counted as gross misconduct.
Dzierzkowski’s name goes on a national list, preventing him from police work. He cannot work for other law enforcement agencies, either, as the College of Policing manages this list.
Deputy Chief Constable Jon Roy commented on the case, stating Dzierzkowski misused his power for personal gain during searches. Police officers must always do what is right.
Protecting data is very important to the police. They will strongly punish misuse of private details, demanding the highest ethical standards and expecting integrity from everyone.
