Hey, something’s been happening in Plymouth. Police need our help after some break-ins and car thefts.

Someone broke into a Plympton house on Elford Crescent. It happened early Thursday, February 20th. The thieves stole car keys and then the car.

There was another break-in attempt in Honicknowle. This occurred on Harewood Crescent. It was between Wednesday and Thursday, February 19th and 20th. The victim heard noise, saw forced entry signs.

They didn’t get in and steal anything this time. They found a stolen car in Waddon Close, Plympton. Waddon Close is near Elford Crescent. Police continue to investigate all of these incidents.

The police are offering advice to protect our cars. Lock your car and set the alarm. Think about getting a steering wheel lock. Don’t leave anything in your car.

Make sure your car is visible to deter thieves. Lots of light helps! Lock all your doors and windows at home. Set your alarm, or get one installed. Alarms can make a big difference.

Keep car keys away from doors and windows. Store them in a locked drawer or box. Police suggest a faraday pouch for your keys at home.

Do not keep the steering lock key with your car keys. Keep an eye out in your neighborhood. If you see something suspicious, call the police.

Describe any suspicious cars, including the license plate. Share any doorbell footage with the police. Look out for your neighbors, and stay safe.
