A Stonehouse project secured £15k funding from the National Lottery to support eco-friendly STEAM activities for families.

This funding lets them do many things. They will run year-long events for families. These activities happen at The Plot, Union Street. The grant helps with Science, Technology, and Engineering. It also supports Art and Maths sessions. These are regularly for the families.
The funding helps host Swap and Shop events. Locals can trade clothes and shoes. They can swap many other items too. This helps people facing money problems. It aims to bring people together. Kids get enriching learning experiences. These experiences help them thrive.
The first event was on Saturday, February 8. It featured STEAM Stay and Play sessions. A clothing Swap and Shop also occurred. Future sessions will encourage learning. Young people can explore STEAM areas, and families learn in a hands-on method. Mel Tucker said they are very happy.
