Hey, listen to this story! Plymouth police are investigating a jewelry store burglary. It happened at WANTS Jewellers on Armada Way. The store was robbed on Thursday, February 13.

The suspect broke in between 5:30 pm and 7:00 pm. He got in through a vacant building next door. He wore a hood and mask and stole lots of jewelry and watches.

The thief escaped to Cornwall Street using the roof of the building next door. He carried a rucksack, and then, he returned around 10 pm and took more items. The total loss is huge, estimated between £220,000 and £240,000.

Detective Sergeant Paula Tucker leads the investigation team, and they released images of a man they want to find and talk to. They also shared pictures of the stolen items.

The police appreciate all the public’s help so far. They are checking every lead they get. The images aren’t perfect quality, but they are helpful. Police hope the images spark someone’s memory and they focus on the clothing the man wore.

The images came from days before the crime. A suspect entered the vacant building, which was Barista Brothers before, and used it to access WANTS as early as February 5.

He was in the city center in the early evenings. Specific dates are February 5, 6, 8, 9, and 12. He was near Cornwall Street and Armada Way and was also spotted in the Mutley Plain area. He might be Eastern European and could be staying in local rental housing.
