Plymouth gears up for another busy cruise season, expecting 13,000 passengers and boosting its reputation as a top port.

Cruise Plymouth Partnership started in 2021. It includes Plymouth City Council. A council leader praised the “cruise ambassadors”, saying these volunteers gave visitors a friendly reception.
Last year was the best ever for cruises in Plymouth. They brought £1.5 million to the city. People think 2025 will be just as good or even better. The cruise season runs from March to September.
Ships come from the UK, Germany, and Norway. Guests also travel from the USA. Ambassador Cruise Line’s Ambition will visit multiple times. Saga Cruises’ Spirit of Adventure is also scheduled. Phoenix Reisen Cruises will bring Amera.
Crystal Serenity, from Crystal, will call more than once. Saga Cruises’ Spirit of Discovery is coming too. Hebridean Princess from Hebridean Island Cruises joins. Oceania Cruises’ Vista and Sirena will dock there. Silversea Cruises’ Silver Dawn will make an appearance. Many international cruise lines will visit this year.
A manager at Destination Plymouth spoke about Plymouth. Glen Gardner said guests like the city’s history and Plymouth’s welcoming atmosphere. Bookings grow each year because of this, he explained. It boosts the city’s reputation.
Amanda Lumley is the chief executive of Destination Plymouth. She stated Plymouth worked hard to become a great port. They wanted to ensure the success of each visit.
The Cruise Plymouth Partnership has many members. Cattewater Harbour Commissioners, ABP Millbay and Destination Plymouth are involved. The Plymouth Waterfront Partnership BID participates. The Plymouth City Centre Company also takes part, along with the council.
