Lee Dickenson, age 22, was stopped in Barry. This happened on March 18, 2023. He fit the description of a wanted man. Officers detained him after the stop. They discovered cannabis and a phone.

Cardiff Crown Court held a hearing Wednesday. Dickenson went to Cardiff Bay police station. A phone message read “3.5 cash now.” Police searched Dickenson’s address. They found more cannabis bags there. A little cocaine was also present.

Officers also found drug tools. They discovered 11 phones and cash too. Prosecutor Harry Bakr discussed the cannabis weight. It totaled 435.7 grams. The street value was £1,800 to £3,300. Messages linked Dickenson to selling cannabis. They also showed him directing someone.

Dickenson lived on Cei’r Dwyrain, Barry. He admitted possessing cannabis for supply. He also admitted possessing cocaine. He is serving over three years already. His prior conviction involved class A drugs.

Emma Harris spoke for Dickenson. She said he faced a hard childhood. He lived a “transient lifestyle”. He struggled with drugs, causing debt.

Judge Daniel Williams sentenced Dickenson. Dickenson refused to attend court. The judge gave him eight months’ imprisonment. This sentence will run alongside his current one.
