The solution includes new walls and a narrower path near The Gables. This is to make room for a sound fence. Persimmon now asks for wall permission, going to the council.
Ross Meachin spoke for Persimmon Northwest, admitting issues caused delays. He said they heard resident concerns and are taking action to fix it. Changes will prevent this happening again.
Persimmon offered residents compensation, covering the inconvenience of the work. Meachin coordinated meetings with residents, addressing concerns brought up. He apologized for the situation and hopes they can move forward now.
The planning committee approved the new plan as all members agreed. Councillor Roberts found the original situation awful. He thanked Persimmon for listening to them, stating they want what’s best for people.
Councillor Emery praised Persimmon since they accepted mistakes and will improve. The firm wants to be better at handling housing.
