Parents Avoid Jail After Child Faces Wall for Hours in Mouldy Room

The parents knew the child feared darkness. Still, they kept the bedroom dark at night, with no lightbulb in the room. Mould covered the walls in the bedroom, and clothes stayed under the bed, not in a dresser.

The city council rescued the suffering child, who now resides in foster care and is reportedly doing better. The prosecutor shared details in court, stating the child ate all meals on the floor beside the wall.
