The NET tram is getting new announcements. They want to update some outdated messages and mentions that are no longer accurate, after ten years.

Current announcements mention the Broadmarsh Centre. That shopping center closed five years ago, with part of it becoming a park and the rest awaiting updates.

NET said updating takes time and improve the system to achieve better service for everyone. The update should help people use the tram efficiently.

However, details about the updates are currently secret. NET says it is excited to reveal them later, because the company aims for announcements that are useful and function well in the future.

Claire Towers recorded voices back in 2014, as a customer service advisor at NET. Previously, Wendy Smith voiced them in 2004. Smith was Nottingham’s Lord Mayor chosen in a 2002 contest called “tram idol.” NET did not give a date for new messages.
