Police target dangerous drivers in Wallasey after a fatal crash, arresting many for drugs and unsafe vehicles.

The police roads unit mentioned a recent death and held the operation near the crash site. A 25-year-old man, Jon-Jacub Toms, died in January after crashing on Dock Road near Limekiln Lane in Wallasey.
Police shared details online about the operation. One driver went 54 mph in a 30 mph zone on the road where the crash occurred. The driver will go to court for speeding badly.
A private hire vehicle was suspended for being unsafe. The Wolverhampton Council owns it, which is unusual, and the driver was reported for using a dangerous vehicle. A driver with a bad headlight was also stopped.
This driver was drunk and took a breath test, resulting in a high alcohol level of 118. Later, the team moved to the tunnel to continue their work and arrested three drivers for driving under the influence.
These drivers tested positive for drugs, with police finding cannabis and cocaine in their systems. Authorities also searched many vehicles at the tunnel, and licensing officers dealt with taxi-related offenses as well.
