Hey, listen to this news! A house caught fire Saturday in Old Colwyn. It’s on Cadwgan Road, you know? A witness noticed an orange glow, then flames appeared at the house.

The fire damage was pretty bad. Three fire crews showed up quickly, and luckily, no one got hurt in the fire. An electrical issue in a dishwasher started it all.

Fire services got the call at 3:41 pm. Firefighters came from Abergele, Llandudno, and Conwy. A neighbor noticed the fire first; he lives behind the house.

He initially thought it was a fake flame. Then, he thought someone was barbecuing inside. The orange glow worsened, so he called 999, saying it was truly scary.

The fire started in the dishwasher, they think. Heat and smoke severely damaged the kitchen. The hallway also had fire damage, and smoke spread through the whole house.

Firefighters worked there for several hours. They put out the fire and cleaned up. Hoses stretched all along the road; it was a big operation.
