Off-duty officers and pub staff intervened in an altercation outside The Royal George, ensuring safety and preventing injuries.

Lucy, the manager, posted on Facebook and she wanted to clear up some rumors. People were running down the road and then fought. They ran into the pub for safety. The pub was full of people eating steak.
Off-duty police and Jacob, an assistant manager, stepped in. They quickly calmed things down and no one got hurt. Lucy is very thankful for her team and regulars helped keep things calm too.
They are working with the police now and gave the police CCTV and statements. Lucy said the pub never locked down. No customers or staff suffered injuries. The pub is open and doing well.
Surrey Police gave a statement about it. They got reports of an assault at the pub. Two youth groups argued and one person hit another person. The victim wasn’t hurt and they sheltered inside the pub.
Everyone then went away and police think they knew each other. It seemed to be an isolated event. If you know anything, tell Surrey Police. You can call 101 to reach them or you can also use their website tool.
