Nowadaze festival secured a yearly license near Bristol after addressing local noise concerns.

The council gave Pow Soundz Ltd the license. They are the festival’s organizers. Some neighbors complained about noise. They said past events were too loud.
Nowadaze takes place on Oxwick Farm. It’s north of Yate. Other events have also used this farm. It’s unclear which events made the noise.
Matt Davies organizes Nowadaze. He wants a great festival with good music. Attendees can enjoy music, talks, and food. They also offer creative activities.
Davies says they are improving noise and safety. They are listening to the neighbors’ concerns. He believes they run organized events. These events cause minimal disturbance.
Music ends at 2 AM on Friday and Saturday. Only 1,000 tickets are available for purchase. The farm is off Wickwar Road. It takes thirty minutes from Bristol. Neighbors objected but didn’t attend the hearing.
One neighbor said the noise was unbearable. It lasted all day and night. Another neighbor said it ruined their weekends. This keeps their family up all night.
The license means the festival returns yearly. They won’t need temporary permits each time. The council and police can check on noise and trash. This helps them monitor the festival better.
Chris Davies chaired the hearing. He said different people organized past events. The complaints might not be about Pow Soundz events. Other companies might have been the cause.
