Joan Cross (Burnand) died January 19. She was 93. She died in Nottingham City Hospital. Joan was a retired head teacher. She taught at Radcliffe Infant & Nursery School.

She was married to the late Eric Walter Cross. A private service will be at Wilford Hill Crematorium. A service is planned at Radcliffe On Trent Methodist Church March 5 at 2 pm. Donations can be made to the church.

Mary Curtis (Freeman) died peacefully February 7. She is now with her husband John. Her funeral is February 27 at 2 pm. It is at Gedling Crematorium. Her sons, grandchildren, family, and friends will miss her.

Eileen Evans passed away January 27, 2025. She was 92. She used to live in Carlton, Nottingham. A service will be March 5, 2025, at 1 pm.

It will be at Gedling Crematorium. Flowers can be sent to Coop Funeralcare by March 4. Donations will go to Kidney Research UK.

Michael John Hitchin (John Hitchin) died January 29, 2025. He was 86. He was Mollie’s loving husband. He was a father to Kathryn and Helen. Family and friends will miss him.

The funeral is March 4, 2025, at 1 pm at Gedling Crematorium. Donations may go to Young Lives vs Cancer.

Malcolm Herbert Little died at home February 12, 2025. He was 83. He was a dad to Denise, Paul, Sharon, and Lisa. He was a grandpa to Aimee, Lauren, Sophie, James, Alice, and Hannah. People will miss him.

His service is March 11 at 3:45 pm at Ruchcliffe Oaks Crematorium.

Doreen Weaver Morton (Née Orange) passed away January 28, 2025. She is now with her husband Ernest. Her children, grandchildren, family, and friends will miss her. Her service is March 3, 2025, at 11:30 am. It’s at Bramcote Crematorium. Donations will support Alzheimer’s Society.

Simon G. Pettinger passed away February 3, 2025. He was 79. He was a loving father to Natalie. He was a grandfather to Logan, Matilda, and Carter. Simon loved Manchester City. He liked model railways and animals, especially cats.

His service is March 7 at 12 pm. It is at Wilford Hill Crematorium. Donations can be made to daniellesflutterbyes.org.uk.

Josephine Roberts died peacefully at home January 30. She was 98. She is now with her husband, Bill. Josephine was a mom, grandma, and great-grandma. Many knew her as “Jojo.”

Her funeral is March 3 at 1:15 pm. It’s at Rushcliffe Oaks Crematorium. The family asks people not to wear black. Donations may go to British Polio or Dove Cottage Hospice.

Pearl Stooke passed away at home January 27. She was 94. Her daughter, son, sister, and grandsons will miss her. She is with her husband John and parents Lorna and Gladwin now.

The funeral is March 4 at 1 pm at Carlton Baptist Church. The committal follows at Mansfield Crematorium at 2:15 pm.
