Nottinghamshire Pays Tribute to Eva Brown, Beloved Foster Mom to Over 100

Eva Brown passed away January 20, 2025. She was 89. Her celebration is March 15, 2025. Eva was from Bromley, but lived in Wollaton. Many knew her as Auntie Eva. She fostered over 100 kids. Eva childminded into her eighties. She chaperoned for theaters and TV. She ran a Sunday School for years. Eva also led the Brownies. She was a trained seamstress too.

The Auntie Eva’s Children’s Trust will give grants to kids. The family wants no flowers. Give to the trust instead, if you want. Visit their website for details. Gilbert Doughty died February 24, 2025. He was 89. His brother Michael and family send love.

Michael Eggleston died February 9, 2025. He was 87. His service is March 11 at 12:30 PM. It’s at Calverton Baptist Church. Wear spring colors. Give to Christian Aid, not flowers.

Margaret Ford passed away February 13, 2025. She was 90. Her service is March 7, 2025 at 12:45 PM. It’s at St Peters & St. Paul’s Church, Oxton. Donations go to the N.S.P.C.C and R.N.L.I.

Margaret Gorton died February 13, 2025. She was 85. Her funeral is March 3 at 10:30 AM. It’s at St Mary The Virgin, Bunny. Burial follows at The Holy Rood Edwalton at 11:45 AM. Donate to Parkinson’s UK instead of flowers.
