A 999 caller is hailed a hero for saving a man from a fire at The Whitemoor pub on Nuthall Road. The pub hopes to reopen soon.

Fire investigators and police crime scene investigators are looking into the fire. The pub said the fire started downstairs, contradicting earlier reports that went to the fire service. Police have not commented yet.
The pub thanked a man online for calling emergency services and saving Luke’s life. Luke was asleep upstairs. Customers, family, and the community offered kind words after the fire and want to rebuild the local pub.
The pub’s owners are working hard to reopen quickly. They hope to make more memories. They said they love The Whitemoor.
Darren Armstrong, a doorman, saw the fire and called it in after work. He drove past the pub with a friend and saw flames on the ground floor where the windows were broken.
The fire alarm sounded, and Armstrong heard glass breaking. The Whitemoor has been asked for comments.
