Little Plant Guys in Nottingham will close March 30th. The owner decided not to renew the shop’s lease after five years.

They sell seeds and houseplants at the shop. You can also find cards and deli items there. Essen in Beeston provides the cheese and other deli goods. The last day for shopping there is March 30th.
They shared the closing news on Instagram because the lease is ending soon for the shop space. They decided against renewing the lease as it is hard to make the shop work as a business.
The owner wants to rethink their current business approach. They had an amazing five years in business and, though sad to close, bigger plans are being formed. Look for them at pop-ups and events as they thank everyone for five years of support.
Phill Gaskin started the company, with his first shop being in Beeston. A Kickstarter campaign raised £2,500 which helped change a taxi office. Before, he was an interior architect designing restaurants, before the lockdown inspired him to start the business.
Phill and his dog Larry delivered plants in Rita, the van, going to Nottingham, Derby, and Leicester. He also sold plants at markets during that time with home deliveries being very common. He opened the shop because he ran out of space.
Phill will still work with Essen after closing. He is always available for plant questions, so contact him about anything plant-related that you need.
