The Courtyard in Northumberland becomes top rated eatery after perfect customer score and X Factor performance.

Northumberland boasts two Michelin-starred restaurants, Pine and Hjem; however, Hjem sadly announced its closure last week. There are also two considered “romantic” restaurants: Jolly Fisherman and The Potted Lobster. Northumberland has many hidden gems, and The Courtyard is one, currently holding the number one spot on TripAdvisor.
The Courtyard opened in Pegswood last year, quickly making a great impression on locals and tourists alike. Customers have posted many positive reviews, resulting in a perfect 5/5 rating. One customer called it beautiful, loving the food and atmosphere, highlighting its suitability for coffee, lunch, dessert, and brunch.
Another customer who had dinner there thought the service was amazing and the food equally wonderful, noting the dedication put into it that paid off. Another person called it a fantastic addition, praising the lovely decor and warm welcome, also stating the food was amazing.
The Courtyard has an interesting menu with great pies and also made headlines last November when Steve Brookstein, the first X Factor winner, performed. Stories focused on his changed appearance, marking twenty years since his win.
The Courtyard described the gig as a “fantastic night.” Steve mingled with guests and people enjoyed dinner and drinks during the performance. Steve said the venue was lovely and he appreciated the wonderful audience.
