Jack Tyler abused two dogs. He is from Denbighshire, North Wales. The court heard the abuse was extreme, and the dogs could not even defend themselves. One dog had to be euthanized, and vets removed the other dog from his home. That second dog died later.

The NCA found indecent images showing children being abused. These images came from a Bodmin address in Cornwall. Police searched Tyler’s old home there and found electronic devices. Analyzing them revealed horrible content.

A computer and phone had abuse videos showing babies and children. The abuse was extensive, according to reports from Cornwall Live. Over 3,000 images and films existed, including extreme pornography. Some images spread on Telegram, and baby abuse images were among them.

Police found videos of Tyler, age 23 and from Carrog, near Corwen. He abused family dogs sexually. He beat them and strangled them when they didn’t obey. A judge called it one of the worst cases ever, involving animal abuse and cruelty.

A vet said the dogs lost their fight instinct. Tyler’s actions were sadistic and prolonged. He lacked care for the animals’ welfare and showed no care for child victims. He was arrested in October 2021 in connection with images on his devices.

The NCA found more images online coming from his address. Police searched his house again and found more devices, including phones. His parents gave him these devices, which had no parental controls.

Tyler faced several charges, including extreme pornography possession and animal cruelty. He also had child abuse image charges covering different categories. He distributed abuse images and charges included sexually abusing a dog. He pleaded guilty to everything.

His lawyer said Tyler needed psychological help. He said Tyler lived in isolation and lacked support for autism. He also had compulsive behaviors and was open about his issues. With help, he could be rehabilitated and had become numb to online content.

The lawyer stated Tyler needs therapy, as prison would not offer this treatment. He is vulnerable and would suffer there. He is lost and needs help to become a functioning person, as the internet has led him astray.

The judge called it a disturbing case, noting the dog abuse was horrific. He called it the worst kind of bestiality, stating Tyler didn’t care about the animals’ pain. He showed no empathy for children and doesn’t understand the harm he caused.

The judge said Tyler could reoffend and posed a danger to people and animals. Tyler knows his actions are considered wrong, yet he doesn’t believe he did wrong. He doesn’t think he needs help.

The judge sentenced Tyler to three years, considering prison risks to Tyler. He banned Tyler from owning animals and placed him on the sex offenders’ register for life. He is also banned from internet access for ten years.
