Work has started on Buxton Road. The junction at Stockwell Street is also getting fixed, with work expected to last two weeks. Expect some traffic delays and temporary lights.
The county is putting more money into roads. £15 million extra is coming, adding to the £45 million already planned. They will use it over the next three years.
In Leek, they will fix many things. Potholes, footpaths, and kerbs are on the list. Drains will get cleared and signs updated too.
Buxton Road is important for locals. Tourists use it for the Peak District too. They fixed Haregate turning for £360,000 before.
Now, crews are working on Stockwell Street. Then, they will move along Buxton Road. Temporary lights will keep workers safe.
