People noticed a potent smell. It was coming from a house in Wolstanton. A forty-two-year-old guy got questioned about the cannabis growing operation.
They are investigating this newest cannabis bust, which happened in North Staffordshire. Someone called the cops Sunday at 11 PM, reporting a strong weed odor near a house close to Pitgreen Lane.
Officers went inside the house and discovered seventy cannabis plants and related equipment. Police secured the place and took all the plants.
A forty-two-year-old man from Newcastle was arrested, suspected of growing cannabis. Now, he is released pending review while the investigation continues.
This is the third find this week, all happening in North Staffordshire. On Monday, police blocked off part of Burslem after finding 220 plants in an empty building on Market Place.
Yesterday, police removed cannabis plants in bags from a terrace house on Robert Heath Street in Smallthorne.
