Myra Jackson is delighted to be reunited with Kira after a community search.

Myra, age 66, walked Kira near her dad’s home in Whitley Bay. Kira, only five months old, got scared and ran away quickly. Myra and her family worried a lot, so Myra’s son used social media to get help from the North Tyneside community to find Kira.
On Thursday, Myra saw Kira again after she had been missing for two days. Myra is really close to Kira and feared Kira was stolen, thinking someone might use her for breeding. She also thought Kira was trapped and starving, telling ChronicleLive she was very relieved when she was found.
Myra said they got Kira back and thinks the Chronicle article helped a lot. Kira was somewhere, unharmed or thirsty, but she seemed a little scared.
Myra’s dad’s neighbor found Kira stuck in brambles in their yard. They took Kira to Myra right away, suggesting Kira must have been hiding before.
Myra is relieved Kira is back home, and her son said Geordies are wonderful as they received lots of help from the community.
Myra visited her father and walked Kira when something made the puppy freak out. False alarms happened Tuesday and Wednesday, one being a golden lab in New Hartley. Myra and Kira are now together again, just in time for Myra’s 67th birthday.
Kira is very attached to Myra, who said Kira is beautiful and dislikes being away from her. Kira cries if Myra is upstairs, even if her husband is downstairs with Kira; if Myra moves while watching TV, Kira moves too.
