The “No Time To Waste” market and exhibition returns to North Shields, promoting eco-friendly living and supporting local businesses.

Organizers decided to make it an annual thing. Last year, over 1,000 people visited. They had environmental stalls and fun activities. It’s at the Linskill Centre again. Jackie Sewell organizes the event and owns Buy The Kilo. She said it’s a small but important event.
Volunteers run everything. People really enjoyed it last year. The event is a celebration of eco-friendly businesses. It’s a chance to discuss greener living. They will have talks and workshops, even film showings!
The Linskill Centre will have stalls from local businesses. Organizations will also offer info and workshops. Jackie thinks the event is really needed. Small eco-businesses struggled during COVID-19.
They are trying to re-establish themselves now. This event helps people find them. Jackie’s shop often hosts pop-ups. So, they already have a base for lots of stalls. Her business shares info and supports local businesses.
They focus on environmentally friendly buying choices. They want to be different from other businesses. That’s their main goal. They almost didn’t have the event this year.
Funding was a problem initially. Last year, they got money from an organization. Now, North Tyneside Council and SUEZ are helping. Jamie Driscoll also supports the event.
They still need more donations, though. This would make the event better. North Tyneside Council will have a stall at “No Time For Waste”. They will promote recycling and waste reduction. They want to reach Net Zero goals.
“No Time For Waste” is on March 16th. It will be from 10 AM to 4 PM. The location is the Linskill Centre on Linksill Terrace.
