Nine individuals were arrested for working illegally across four businesses in Herefordshire during a police operation.

The police worked with other groups, including fire and rescue, immigration, and the council. Together, agents found nine people working and living in the UK illegally. Employers got fines, and fire and rescue issued enforcement papers.
Four Chinese workers and two men from India were arrested. Also, a Vietnamese woman and two more Chinese men were found. These individuals worked at different places, including a nail salon, building site, and restaurant.
Four Chinese workers lived and worked in Leominster at the Southern Avenue location. All were identified as being in the country illegally, and immigration interviewed them. Nobody complained of slavery.
Immigration bailed those four people and are still investigating. Two Indian men were arrested in Lyde at a building site. Police suspected them to possess fake documents, and immigration detained them for deportation.
A Vietnamese woman was arrested at DO’s Nail Bar on Widemarsh Street in Hereford. Immigration processed彼女 information and then bailed her.
Two Chinese men were arrested at Planet Buffet on Commercial Road in Hereford. Immigration processed both men and subsequently bailed them.
A police sergeant deemed the operation successful, noting the arrest of nine suspects across four locations. He mentioned the effective collaboration and the link between illegal workers and criminal gangs.
Hereford, a cathedral city and Herefordshire’s county town, has a population of around 52,112 as of 2021. Leominster, also in the same county, is a market town with approximately 12,000 residents.
