Bar 11 reopens at Newcastle Airport with a modern look after a 12-week renovation. Plenty of seating and food options for travelers.

The timing is good, as the February half-term holiday is coming. You can get breakfast or eat all day. Kids have their own menu. Try the Chicken and Ham Hock Pie, or maybe you’d like the Battered Haddock and Chips instead. They also have a huge breakfast roll, and Peri-Peri Chicken Skewers are another choice.
Vegetarian and plant-based meals are also available. Need non-gluten food? They have that, too. Consider the Cauliflower and Red Pepper Curry, or the Plant-Based Garden Breakfast. For dessert, have a Millie’s Cookie, a classic milk chocolate chip.
The bar has nice wooden walls, and murals show North East landmarks. You can sit in booths or at tables by big windows to watch planes take off. Airport staff and SSP cut a ribbon to celebrate Bar 11’s reopening.
Dean Ward works at the airport. He said people love Bar 11, and the new look is stylish. The airfield views are great, and people can relax before their flight. It goes well with other food places there, and he hopes people visit Bar 11 soon.
Cathy Granby works for SSP, who run Bar 11. SSP works with Newcastle Airport a lot. They invested in Bar 11, and also opened Aster & Thyme last year. They have Starbucks and Burger King, too, so passengers have many options to choose from.
