High Rollers Smoking & Vaping will open on struggling Lister Gate. Locals have mixed feelings about the new store.

People shared opinions about the new vape shop. One woman noticed many vape shops and doesn’t think they should be so visible, especially worrying about kids seeing them.
One man remembers Lister Gate being lively and is sad shops replace fun places. Some people are happy about the new vape shop. One student thinks it will get many customers since it is near nightclubs, thinking it’s convenient.
NottinghamshireLive tried to reach the shop owners for a comment about the shop.
Big stores closed on Lister Gate recently, including M&S Home, Boots, and WH Smith. The Broadmarsh Shopping Centre’s failure hurt things too, but new shops offer hope for the struggling street.
Sports Direct opened a new store before Christmas after closing their Clumber Street store, relocating to the former H&M unit on Lister Gate. Flannels, a luxury clothing shop owned by Mike Ashley’s Frasers Group, opened there one year before.
An NHS center should be built nearby as well. Over £3 million is approved for demolition, and most of the old Broadmarsh site will come down. Work should start in July, and they hope this leads to its redevelopment.
