Toast’d, a new café run by Sangeeta and her husband, opening February 15th in Peterborough, promises a chill spot with unique sandwiches.
They’re from Nepal, and they ran a restaurant there before. Now, they want unique sandwiches here. They’ve lived in Peterborough for twenty years, and sandwiches seemed like a great idea.
Toast’d will sell many sandwiches, including an all-day breakfast sandwich option. You can get it on a croissant, muffin, or bagel. Some dishes will have Mexican and Italian flavors. They’ll also serve coffee and milkshakes.
He suggests the Chipotle Chicken Avocado melt, a mix of Mexican and American tastes, and thinks it tastes great! That is one of the main dishes.
Mr. Bhattaria thinks their food and the café’s vibe will help them stand out. He said the food is unlike anything else here. Also, the café is a place to study or hang out.
They are aiming for a relaxed vibe and will play 90s music, going for an American feel, too. He said the inside looks really nice, as they have worked on it for eight months.
The plan is to open Saturday, February 15. They want to train staff well first, so they can make awesome food for everyone. You can find Toast’d at 36 Cowgate in Peterborough.
