Stoke gets vibrant mural by the River Trent, boosting city pride aided by local school kids, funded by a council grant.

The artwork aims to boost river pride, so Stoke-on-Trent citizens should be proud. Kids from a local school, Stoke Minster Primary Academy pupils, helped make it.
Artist Tom Edwards spoke about the river, noting that many locals don’t know the Trent’s path. Tom hopes to highlight the river and connect the city to it. His art shows local plants and animals.
The mural reveal aligns with path plans for a route called Trent Valley Way. This path follows the river from source to sea. One section already exists from Biddulph Moor to Stoke, while another stretches twenty-five kilometers from Norton Green to Barlaston.
Tom Aplin, who works for Trent Rivers Trust, commented that the path helps communities be active and connect with nature. The Trust is happy to add the mural there, hoping locals feel proud and thanking Tom and the students.
