New houses are planned for the former Mottram police station site, vacant since its demolition in 2012.

Onward Homes wants to put houses there now. They are planning to build fourteen new houses, each with three bedrooms. They say they’ll be affordable and well-made.
You could rent, buy part, or rent to own, designed to meet housing needs in the area. The new houses will be near Market Place and will include plenty of parking spaces.
Each house gets its own garden, in addition to shared open spaces for the residents. They want the houses to be aesthetically pleasing and use energy efficiently.
The design will fit seamlessly into the surrounding area. It will look modern, but blend well with the existing architecture. The goal is to create a desirable living space that also benefits the environment.
Onward Homes is currently finishing other housing projects nearby, including new homes in Hattersley. They shared the initial plans for the police station site last year, and have now formally submitted the plans the council.
