Jones Homes aims to build 250 homes in Bramhall, addressing Stockport’s housing demand with affordable options and green spaces.

A company called Jones Homes wants to construct there. They are thinking about 250 new family homes, aiming for a nice place for people to live. Their aim is to help with Stockport’s housing demand.
Half the homes will be “affordable,” meaning cheaper prices and homes for rent. They’re also designing green spaces and paths, like parks and places for walking or biking. A new park and nature area will exist, plus planned play spaces.
They told the local councillors about these plans. Residents will also get info soon. The company will submit papers to the council later.
One councillor wants better infrastructure first. He worries Bramhall is building too many homes and wants a fair plan with good infrastructure. He also mentioned traffic and flooding problems, noting the A555 floods every year and traffic near Stanley Green is a mess. Cheshire East also plans houses nearby.
Another company, Harrow Estates, wants to build in Woodford, hoping to add more homes to the Garden Village, which they think would be great for the public. This company wants to help with Stockport’s housing needs, planning around 540 homes, about half of them affordable.
They also mentioned a community hub near the museum. They want shops and the school could get bigger. Lots of green space is included in the plan, with paths for walkers and bikers connecting the area.
