Liscard could get a new community center soon. People want to address antisocial behavior, with some calling the area “the Wild West” at night. The new center is called Shine Together and will be located at the old St. John’s Ambulance site. Michelle Naylor took over the building, wanting to create a safe place for families.

Upstairs, she plans to create a community cafe. It will offer drinks, food, and comfortable couches, along with books. She also wants an after-school club for young kids to help stressed-out parents.

Downstairs, the plans include a social supermarket and a laundry room. An art room and a gaming room are also in the works. Michelle has received a lot of support online, with businesses offering help and backing for the social supermarket; a community action day is scheduled for February 24.

Coffee mornings may start in a month, along with a uniform swap. The social supermarket will slowly open, and a fundraiser is set for April 21. Michelle, who has worked for two charities and was a single mom, wants to help others.

She worked at Charlotte’s Brightside and a youth club, wanting to help her own community. Michelle feels passionate about helping people, knowing life is hard and wanting to make a difference.

Michelle read about town center problems, inspiring her to help. The council will invest £12 million to improve Liscard, focusing on businesses, buildings, and a new community center.

People have said a center would help kids, and Michelle agrees Shine Together is needed. She believes every child deserves a chance and wants a central point for the community, where people know help is available, and involves the youth.

Michelle wants them off the streets, as she says good kids are being lost. They can learn skills at the center, which she hopes will be a safe place where parents know where their children are.

She wants to make the community nicer and safer, so people can see the good in youths. Michelle ultimately wants to help them succeed.

She is happy with the community response, as people want and need the center. They want to help build it and volunteer. Michelle welcomes all help and hopes it shines for everyone.
