A new Sainsbury’s store has opened in Alsager after a decade of planning, with plans to open a Starbucks nearby this Spring.

Apparently, the opening day was a big hit, and people were really excited to shop there. Plus, they plan to build a Starbucks nearby, likely sometime in the late spring.
The new Sainsbury’s is 25,000 square feet with a huge parking lot. You can even pay at the pump without help, and they have electric vehicle chargers. The store created one hundred jobs for the area.
The first 500 customers got a cool reusable bag that a local student, Betsy Abbott, designed. This is the second Sainsbury’s in Alsager; the smaller, existing ‘Local’ store stays open.
The store manager, Katie Leese, thanked the community for their support, expressing her happiness about the opening. The store opens early and closes late most days, though hours differ on Sundays.
A Sainsbury’s manager, Patrick Dunne, stated they are happy about the store’s warm welcome. He also mentions opening more stores soon, and this is the second new store this year.
