Construction begins on a new bridge over the A10, linking Waterbeach and Cambridge, set to complete by early 2026.

The bridge connects new homes to Cambridge Science Park. It also links to Cambridge Regional College and Cambridge. They finished digging around for old stuff last year. Now, they’ll build up the sides and put in safety barriers.
Next, they’ll move the pipes and wires that are there. After that, they will build the bridge’s supports. The bridge arrives in four pieces. Then workers will lift and weld them together.
The people in charge say it shouldn’t upset A10 drivers. They believe little disruption will occur. Most work happens away from the road. A company called GRAHAM will build the bridge.
GRAHAM is really happy to build such an important thing. They think it will help the area grow. Also, it promotes getting around without a car. Workers finalize the construction plan. They think seeing the bridge get built will feel great.
The bridge should take about a year to finish. It should open sometime early in 2026. It’s exciting news, right?
