Lightwater Park is getting a 30m zip line and climbing units starting March 10, enhancing fun for families.

This award-winning park covers 49 hectares. It features ponds, woods, and meadows. People like to feed birds there, and kids and dogs are free to explore. Geese, ducks, and swans are fun to watch.
The park has a café that serves coffee, sandwiches, paninis, and ice cream. You can learn about the park inside, with display panels and a wildlife bulletin. It mentions daily events and fish caught there.
The council lists walks for health, while others explore the park on their own. You might find the Bench of Hope, overlooking Hammonds Pond. This bench is from a Netflix show.
The bench connects to Ricky Gervais’ show, After Life. Netflix donated it in partnership with CALM, a suicide prevention charity. A QR code gives access to help with your mental health.
Near the café is a playground. It has a climbing frame, net, swings, and trail. Surrey Heath council voted on a new trail’s design.
The top design has a zip line that’s 30 meters long. It also has wooden climbing units. Work will start on March 10. You can also play Adventure Golf there.
Adventure Golf has 18 holes. It’s open weekends, holidays and school breaks. Check the weather before you go.
The park has public restrooms and free parking. One family said they are lucky to have it close, with three easy lakes. Swans, ducks, geese and moorhens all live here, near the kids’ area and café.
Lightwater residents find it convenient. The park is also near the M3, making it easy to reach by car.
