Nottingham tram closes its King Street travel advice center after a decade to improve customer experience via online support.

The King Street center will shut on March 25th forever. It opened back in July 2013. It probably won’t reopen somewhere else.
NET wants to improve things for customers. They decided to close it after some feedback. They noticed how people buy tickets these days and how folks contact customer service now.
They have a tram app and website chat available. They also have online support, said NET. These are modern ways to get help; these methods are quite popular now.
Most people still used the center for Robin Hood cards. Every tram stop has top-up machines today, and you can even use contactless payments. This network has lime-green validators available.
Staff will move to the Wilkinson Street depot and offer customer support from there. This will be online instead of in person, impacting current staff.
The saved money will go towards more policing to stop fare evasion on the network. They aim to increase overall safety too. They now have a zero tolerance stance.
