Driver Bradley Warren banned and fined £1,300 for refusing blood test due to claimed needle phobia. Appeal dismissed.

Police asked Warren for a blood sample each time. He refused both times, claiming he feared needles. He said this in court during his plea and had no real proof of this phobia.
The court found him guilty last summer. He appealed this decision, but the court then dismissed his appeal. They said his phobia lacked medical diagnosis, and Warren’s appeal failed in the end.
The court upheld his driving ban, which lasts for 16 months. He must also pay £1,300 in costs.
Officer Craig Beales commented on the case. Warren refused blood tests twice, and the arrests occurred within six weeks. Beales is happy the appeal failed, and Warren is now banned from driving.
Beales stated drug driving is very dangerous. They will pursue risky offenders who drive while impaired by drugs and endanger everyone on the road.
