Hey, guess what’s up with those A53 roadworks? They’re taking longer than expected! Engineers are facing some tricky issues there. Remember how they said it would end Friday? The temporary lights stayed put all weekend. People wondered when it would finally finish, near the Black Horse pub.

National Grid expressed their gratitude for everyone’s patience. They admitted the digging is proving difficult. Turns out, there are many layers under the road! Officials told StokeonTrentLive it’ll wrap by March 5th.

A spokesperson apologized for the delay on the A53 in Endon. This work is important for better power in the area though. It will make the electricity supply more reliable. They know roadworks are a pain, especially lengthy ones.

These A53 works followed some gas work nearby. Cadent had lights at Hallwater junction. That’s quite close to this ongoing issue. Those gasworks annoyed drivers. The lights remained even after work seemed done.
