Investigation starts after a National Express bus fire in Bilston. All passengers are safe, no injuries reported.

The bus was a National Express single-decker. Firefighters worked hard to put out the flames, using four hose reels to fight the fire while black smoke rose into the sky.
The fire caused the road to close, and West Midlands Police helped manage traffic. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident; all passengers got off the bus safely.
Firefighters from two stations, Bilston and Tipton, responded wearing breathing apparatus to stay safe. The fire is now under control, and one fire engine has already left.
The police will manage the scene soon, as National Express is arranging to remove the bus. Oxford Street will stay closed until then.
National Express will investigate the fire’s cause, confirming a bus had fire damage and that emergency services responded quickly. They will cooperate fully with the investigation and apologized for any delays to customers.
