An environmentalist warned beachgoers in Cornwall. She spotted many identical plastic items on the shore.

Chloe Hurst posted a video on TikTok to show the issue. She asked what the items were that washed up near her.

Volunteers found many “little spray nozzle things” while cleaning up. They weren’t sure where they came from, but the group collected hundreds.

Chloe learned the nozzles came from cleansing fluid bottles, some of which held antibiotics. Shipping containers get lost at sea often; about 1,500 disappear yearly.

This litter harms the environment and can carry harmful bacteria. Chloe said nobody is responsible and showed two containers full of nozzles. She removed them from the sand herself and advised using gloves and proper disposal.

A TikTok user asked how containers spill their items. Chloe thinks the container broke down over time or during the spill.

Another person thanked Chloe for cleaning and for helping wildlife. They appreciated cleaning the beaches.

Someone shared that they found adult diapers in North Devon. Another person from Dorset said white paint covered their beaches, and that dogs got paint on them.
