The Black Country Living Museum expects more visitors. Their director thinks the new Metro line will help. Currently, they get around 390,000 visitors each year.

Andrew Lovett wants half a million. He thinks better public transport will increase attendance. Ninety percent of museum visitors arrive by car.

Research shows transport is a barrier. The new tram stop is very close to the museum’s entrance. The museum helped create the business plan. They built a new visitor center facing the Metro stop.

The Metro could greatly impact visitor numbers. The new Metro line connects Dudley to the region. It links to places like Wolverhampton and Birmingham. This helps the museum reach more people.

Lovett wants to change views about Dudley. He wants people to visit more often. He is optimistic about the town’s future.

Dudley MP Sonia Kumar agrees the Metro will help. She thinks it will boost the local economy. Dudley has a lot to offer visitors. She noted the museum is a great destination.

Kumar also wants better access to Wren’s Nest. It is a fantastic, but isolated, geo-park.
