Lindy Leah is on trial at Liverpool Crown Court. People accuse her of acting inappropriately with a child. She worked as deputy manager at a children’s home. Leah, age 44, denies all the charges against her.

She is accused of sexual misconduct. The trial started yesterday. Prosecutors claim Leah wanted the boy to run away, saying she would book a fun place for them with balloons and chocolates.

The prosecution believes Leah wore revealing clothes around him. She allegedly offered a ‘love bite’ for his phone back. She is married with children.

Simon Christie spoke to the jury. He said Leah broke the boy’s trust and admitted loving him. Christie claims her love was inappropriate.

The boy won’t testify in court and does not support the prosecution. Witnesses saw Leah and the boy together, and say her actions were wrong.

Prosecutors have WhatsApp messages between them which they claim show an improper relationship, containing expressions of love. Leah had videos of the teenager on her phone. The videos showed him sleeping, prosecutors say.

It is up to the jury to decide if her actions were sexual. Leah admits she was in a position of trust. She says she tried being a friend. Her actions were a misguided attempt to protect him, she claims.

Police questioned her last June about her behavior. She denied any wrongdoing back then. She violated her bail by contacting the boy and was seen with him at a park.
