Karolina Zurawska admits to killing her six-year-old son, Alexander, due to diminished responsibility in Swansea.

Karolina admitted on Monday that she also tried to murder her father, Krzysztof Siwi, who is 67. This incident also occurred on the same day as her son’s death. The hearing took place at Swansea Crown Court.
The prosecutor, Michael Jones, told the court they accepted her pleas after reviewing three psychiatric reports. These reports indicated that she was experiencing a mental illness, specifically paranoid schizophrenia, at the time of the incidents.
Karolina, who previously lived on Cwmdu Close, Gendros, is currently residing at Priory Hospital Llanarth Court. Her sentencing is scheduled for April 25. After Alexander’s death, his family released a statement, describing him as a very kind child who was always well-behaved and never naughty.
He was mature, clever, and had a good understanding of facts, always willing to help others. Alexander enjoyed cooking, cleaning, and spoke both English and Polish, often correcting his parents’ English. “He was amazing,” they stated.
