A well-known Middlesbrough restaurant closed after 24 years. Fellini’s fed people nearby for over two decades. Back in January, the owners revealed they were closing, and customers felt disappointed about the Italian restaurant shutting down.

The owners posted about their closure on social media, citing family reasons in their original Facebook post. They are now closing after 24 great years, news that saddened many customers.

One customer fondly remembered celebrating special occasions there, always enjoying lovely food and excellent service. Another person was very upset, calling it their favorite place, and noted the staff took time for customers and wished the owners the best.

Teesside Live had previously written about Fellini’s success, stating the secret was “family.” The Piretti family first opened Fellini’s back in 2000. Eamonn Barody started there and later bought it in 2005 from his retiring boss, and he has run it with his wife, Sarah, since that time.
