Joan McTigue is a Middlesbrough Councillor. She is collecting donations for African children. Joan represents Longlands and Beechwood. She wants to help kids in other countries.

Joan visited an Indian orphanage before. She was sad the children owned nothing. They lacked toys and shoes. She asked local people for unneeded items. People gave clothes, toys, soap, and toothbrushes.

A company shipped the donations freely. Children were happy with dresses and shoes. Some thought the items were just for one day. Joan wants to repeat this for Africa. She asks for help in any way.

Joan previously raised funds for Ukrainian refugees. Contact her at joanmctigue45@gmail.com if you can help. Clothes and shoes are most needed.

Janet Thompson is another Councillor. She will help send clothes to Africa. Clothes can be imperfect, since they will be repaired. These children need our unwanted items.

Sharon Platt is also a Councillor. She belongs to MICA. Sharon will assist with this project too.
