Police warn of increased vehicle and shed break-ins in Wirral, focusing on theft from vehicles in New Brighton, Upton, and Moreton.

Police posted this on Facebook, stating that stolen items came from vehicles in New Brighton, Upton, and Moreton. Workers specifically had tools stolen overnight.
Car break-ins upset people, police said. Shed break-ins increased in New Brighton too, and these occurred overnight on Friday, February 14.
So, lock your property securely, they advised. Also, check your contents insurance coverage to ensure it covers items in your garage or shed.
Police gave advice to prevent vehicle thefts. Always lock your car completely and close all windows and the sunroof. Use screws that resist tampering to secure your number plates. Use locking wheel nuts; this secures alloy wheels.
Secure items outside your vehicle too. Take items with you or hide them well, and hide electrical items. Don’t leave any clues behind; instead, mark tools left in vans and use a lockable cabinet if possible. Photograph items.
Park in well lighted and busy areas. Take all documents with you and choose your car park carefully.
