Work stopped for four months earlier. This break allowed Christmas traffic to flow freely. The bridge had to remain available for local events. A lighting system was previously tested on the bridge.

The final work includes painting and concrete repairs. They will also adjust how vehicles enter from the land. New lights will be ready for the anniversary.

The A55 bridge rarely closes. It usually reopens within a few hours. High winds can stop large trucks from crossing. They changed wind speed limits for some trucks.

Britannia Bridge might close sometimes. They are looking for truck parking sites nearby. These sites will be available if the bridge closes.
