Three men jailed after stealing a motorbike, causing life-altering injuries to the owner who tried to stop them.

Mason McLean, Dylan Tollitt, and Leroy Agatha were responsible. Cole tried to stop them. They threw him from their van. He landed on the road and suffered terrible injuries.
He remains unresponsive in the hospital. He had fourteen brain operations. Cole still fights for his life and cannot do basic things.
The crime happened last July in Southport. The men drove from Liverpool. CCTV saw them near Cole’s house. They returned and stole the bike around 8:20 pm.
They put the bike in the van. Cole realized what was happening. As the van sped off, he fell and suffered a catastrophic brain injury.
Cole can’t speak or eat. He struggles to drink and needs constant care at the hospital. He will have a fifteenth surgery soon. Doctors removed part of his skull.
After the theft, Agatha went to McDonald’s. McLean and Tollitt met him later in the van. They then hid the stolen bike.
McLean and Tollitt left in the van. Agatha left in another taxi. He has prior convictions, including vehicle theft. His lawyer said he regrets his actions.
McLean’s lawyer stated he’s remorseful and recognizes he ruined Cole’s life. He has a chance at a future.
Tollitt’s lawyer mentioned his ADHD. She said he seems to be changing and has a job in bricklaying now. This gives hope for his future.
All three men admitted to the crime. Agatha received three years in jail. Tollitt got four years and four months. McLean received six years and eight months.
The judge stated they stole the motorbike deliberately. Cole’s life is now utterly crushed, and he is barely clinging to life. Cole tried to protect his property.
McLean cannot drive for over five years. A police inspector called it a shocking event. He said the men stole a motorbike, and Cole tried to stop them but fell. The inspector hopes the verdict helps Cole recover.
