Lidl’s new West Ealing store, over three times bigger, opens February 20th, creating jobs as the old store shuts down.

The new Lidl is right across from the older one, which closes February 19, after 15 years of service. For opening celebrations, they will have free food samples, and Lidl Plus app members get exclusive weekend offers.
Lidl invested millions in this new location and created ten-plus local jobs, with new employees earning £14.35 per hour currently. That wage reflects the increased minimum wage, and existing staff will move to the new location.
The store is 1,371 square meters, open from 8 AM to 9 PM, Monday through Saturday. Sunday hours are from 11 AM to 5 PM.
Lidl plans to launch nine stores in one month. Another London store is coming to Canning Town, and new stores are also planned in Preston, Walsall, and Wombourne. Lidl is also expanding to Blantyre, Cwmbran, Oldbrook, and Wells.
